WCR's 20th Birthday Open Morning: Saturday 2 April 2016

On Saturday 2 April 2016, WCR held an Open Morning to mark two decades of broadcasting, and to give members of the public the opportunity to visit Civic Centre Studios.

Station Manager Andrew Robinson and Station Director Barry Mole opened the Open Morning at Civic Centre Studios.

 Barry kicked off the broadcasting live from Studio Two, hosting Community Chest.
Guests arrived to look around the studio, meet some of the presenters and share the refreshments.
 Barry talks to Kelly Baker who was one of the launch presenters in 1996.
 WCR's delicious 20th birthday cake, which was baked by presenter Flora Hyde and her mother.

 Barry officially cuts the cake to start the event.

 Councillor Rob Fryer (left) and Councillor Paul Macfarlane (right) were among those is attendance.
 Most senior presenter Keith Green, youngest presenter Flora Hyde and long-serving presenter Joan Howarth.  There are 72 years between Keith and Flora.
